Vegas Streats will be holding their 1 year anniversary celebration this month on March 10, 2012 across the street front of El Cortez Hotel. Vegas Streats has weathered the hot summer and cold winter, now it springtime the weather is just getting nice. See you there,  6pm – 1am.

Newly Installed Symphony Park Sign in Downtown Las Vegas

A new Symphony Park sign was installed today. Located at the entrance way of the 1.8 acre park called “Symphony Park” on Grand Central Parkway and Discovery Lane the newly erected sign stands. The park is part of a larger 61 acre urban development of the old Union Pacific rail yard called by the same name Symphony Park. The development includes the Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health (Cleveland Clinic), The Smith Center for the Performing Arts, the Children’s Discovery Museum and additional residential, commercial and medical facilities.

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts Construction Almost Completed

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts and Symphony Park are in the final clean up phase of construction.  The newly sodded Symphony Park is waiting its last final art installation.  A series if vertical colored pipes, 80 in all, to be installed at the east end of the park on a curved stream of upward facing lights. The art installation is by Tim Bavington and will be installed later this month.  The Smith Center for the Performing Arts plans to open next month.
