Trader Bills

Trader Bill’s Neon Sign – is now a Harley Davidson store

Trader Bill’s, was one of the best Leather and Western Gift Shops on Fremont Street. It had a large, flicker bulb arrow pointing down towards the door. The outside was made to look like a movie set Trading Post. Inside, it was leather heaven but they also carried lots of Indian rugs and jewelry. Originally, it had a wooden sidewalk before paved sidewalks were installed in the 1950s. It is now a Harley Davidson store. The Harley Davidson store kept the sign and the facade.

Bonanza Gifts refers to itself as the world largest gift shop.

Well before the gift shop opened here, it was one of the first shopping centers in Las Vegas, and there were a couple of small casinos located here from the early 1960’s until 1981, when the Bonanza Gift Shop took over.  The three casinos were Honest John’s and The Big Wheel and Jolly Trolly.
