Hacienda Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip

The Hacienda was a hotel/casino that operated on the Las Vegas Strip from 1956 to 1996. The Hotel was closed on December 10, 1996 and later was imploded on New Year’s Eve in 1999.

The Hacienda, while being designed, was called  the Lady Luck (not to be confused with the downtown’s Lady Luck), but before it was finished it was sold and eventually opened as the Hacienda in 1956. The Hacienda resort initially opened in 1954 without a casino. The hotel owned its own fleet of airliners for its ambitious air travel promotions, it was located directly across from McCarran Air Field.  The Hacienda was also one of the first Strip hotels to market to families and budget travelers. After the implosion, the Mandalay Bay Resort and Hotel was built on the old Hacienda site.

Las Vegas’s Most Popular Casinos

September 15, 2018

Winning in Las VegasEveryone knows that Las Vegas is the mecca of the gambling world. With the classic Strip and the more modern Strip, not to mention Fremont Street, there are many casinos to choose from. However, some stand out as the Las Vegas casinos that gamblers flock to the most.

One of the most popular casinos in Las Vegas is The Bellagio. With its world famous fountains and first class accommodations, visitors to Las Vegas often choose The Bellagio over all other casinos. Described as the ìultimate Las Vegas experience,î it offers world class entertainment such as Cirque De Soleil and its fine art gallery. The Bellagio also hosts concerts by some of the worldís most famous performers. With king and queen sized guest rooms as well as suites, visitors can relax in style. The casino floor boasts more than 2,000 slot machines as well as 40 Poker tables. Some of the most luxurious bars can be found on the casino floor.

Being in the middle of the desert, visitors to Las Vegas are nowhere near a beach. Having a manmade beach of its own has made Mandalay Bay one of the most popular casinos in Las Vegas. The hotel was designed to make visitors feel like they are at a South Seas beach resort. There is also a shark reef on the grounds of the hotel. Its casino floor attracts high rollers from around the world as well as celebrities. But for families vacationing there on a budget, there are more affordable slot machine games available as well. Suites at Mandalay Bay offer either a view of the Strip or a view of the Las Vegas skyline. The one and two bed guest rooms are all luxurious and comfortable. The casino floor has more than 1500 slot and video poker machines. Weekly poker tournaments are also held at Mandalay Bay. Restaurants, bars and a beach club provide guests with plenty of ways to enjoy their stay.

For gamblers who are looking for the largest casino in Las Vegas, the distinction goes to MGM Grand. Its legendary casino floor attracts more gamblers than most others on the Strip. Aside from being a hugely popular casino, MGM Grand also has the distinction of being among the worldís most recognized hotels. One reason why so many visitors flock to this casino is that it features restaurants of chefs such as Tom Colicchio and Emeril Lagasse. The resort boasts its own conference center, a comedy club owned by Brad Garret, and the Grand Garden Arena, where concerts are regularly held. The night clubs in MGM Grand are often difficult to gain entry to because many celebrity DJs frequently spins music there. The pool complex stretches out over six acres within the casinoís property.

Another of the most popular Las Vegas casinos is Caesars Palace. Decorated in a Roman motif, the building has spacious ceilings unlike any other casino, as well as marble columns, statuaries and sparkling fountains. Caesars Palace is best known for its legendary shows featuring performers such as Celine Dion and Mariah Carey, among others. One of the casino floor gamblers will find a wide selection of slot machines, table games, poker and sports betting lounges. Of all the restaurants in the casino, the Restaurant Guy Savoy is often referred to as Las Vegasís best restaurant serving French cuisine. Caesars Palace also includes the Gordon Ramsey Pub & Grill. Upscale shopping and bars can also be found at Caesars Palace.

These casinos promise the best Las Vegas experiences. Each offers visitors countless options in dining, gaming and entertainment.

For those who are unable to travel to Las Vegas, there are plenty of online casinos and usa online casinos to enjoy at Sweet Bet
