Las Vegas Foodie Fest 2013 – Photos

Three days of food truck goodness at this years Las Vegas Foodie Fest ended this Sunday with tried staff and empty trucks. The busy weekend feature local and regional food trucks including the Great Food Truck Race’s Season 3 winner, Seoul Sausage Co.

Big long lines, lots of trucks and weather too hot for April as the crowds packed the festival. I could not believe that people where waiting for 3-5  hours to trying to get some a few White Castle burgers when there was other great options available.

Here are some photos of the trucks at the festival. Including the non invite Sin City Snoballs out front of Bass Pro Shops. Sorry about the poor photo quality (iPhone), the DSLR was out of juice. Enjoy anyway.

Vegas Streats December 10, 2011 in Downtown Las Vegas, Nevada

This Saturday night, December 10, 2011. Food Trucks! Artist! and Live Music!! Experience Las Vegas’ food trucks in the monthly Las Vegas Streats Festival. The Festival starts at 6pm – 1am in Downtown Las Vegas across the street from the El Cortez. Admission is free and there will be Live Music, Dj’s, and Artists, and Vegas’ own upscale Food Trucks. Including: Slidin’ Thru, Fukuburger, Pop’s Truck, Yellow Lunch Box, Carefree, BBQ Boy, Snow Ono, Sin City Wings, Papi Churro and Grouchy John’s. Some old favorites and some new trucks this month. Great food and music bringing new life to the downtown, see you there and dress warm.

The event featured several of Las Vegas’ most popular restaurants on wheels as well as food trucks who rolled in from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Denver.  Sin City Wings, Nom Nom Truck Tasty Bunz, Food Slingers, Biker Jim, Cool Haus, BBQ Boy, Love Grub, Wings on Wheels, Food Slingers, Slap Yo Mama, Haute Chix, IchiMas, Ludo Truck, Pop’s Philly Cheesesteak Truck, Slidin’ Thru, WTF Pizza, Longboards and The Chairman Boa.

Movies in the Park: Ghostbusters

Slidin’ Thru hosted a free movie in the park event at Angel Park near Durango and Alta tonight on the Summerlin end of town. The movie shown was the hit classic, Ghostbusters. Along with with the Slidn’ Thru gang was a taste of Las Vegas’ finest food trucks including: Tasty Bunz, Sin City Wings, Grouchy John’s, Snow Ono shaved ice, and of course the Slidin’ Thru’s own Slider Truck. The weather was perfect and  folks in Summerlin finally got some of that food truck love they deserve.  Enjoy the photos below, click for enlarged images.
